Reports of Rape Linked to Online Dating Rise 450 Percent in Five Years

Just over 40 percent of victims had spent time in private on their first date, and 71 percent of alleged rapes that occurred on the first face-to-face meeting following online contact were committed at the victim's or offender's residence.
